HBS is seeking an experienced Field Service Specialist who will perform complete emergency, repair and renovation, testing, installation and start-up technical support across a wide range of electrical or mechanical equipment, systems and subsystems (including software where applicable) from moderate to complex in nature.

 

The position will be responsible for performing service and maintaining systems involving networks, system integration, open technologies, software based interfaces, HVAC systems, fire/security systems and other facility/infrastructure management systems. Experience with systems that involve advanced solutions such as EBI, Tridium, Echelon products, Lonmark and other open technologies for building access and security a plus. Assist sales rep with customer requirements, meetings with customer and evaluating customer site specifics. Basic Qualifications: Associates degree in electronics, a technical field or IT, or equivalent combination of education and related work experience Minimum of three years of service experience with commercial/industrial Fire Alarm, Security and Security Access control systems experience Valid driver's license

Additional Qualifications: Experience with Network and building infrastructure electrical systems (CAT, cables, fiber optics, etc.) ? Maintenance and installation experience with PCSC, Nexwatch card access panels and CCTV systems. Strong knowledge of software and system integration concepts, as well as computer skills. Must be able to work with limited supervision and be able to direct contractors. Ability to read and interpret project plans and specifications. Knowledge of Fire and Security Systems a plus NICET II certification a plus Must have strong organization and follow-up skills, including strong written and verbal communications abilities
