The Position

Fire Alarm Sales Representative - minimum one year sales experience within the D/FW market in providing Fire Alarm & Life Safety system solutions to end users and contractors. In this sales role the individual will focus on prospecting, cultivating and securing (booking) fire alarm sales opportunities in the D/FW area. Job will include establishing new customers and working with our existing customers in selling our systems, products and technology.  Responsibilities also include strong service sales focus (up to 40% of your time), designing, bidding and facilitation of medium to large fire alarm systems. Will support the booking and profitability goals of the Dallas operation.  Must have ability to meet directly with customers to establish needs, and drive the overall sales process.  Conduct customer site walkthroughs and estimate both building system installations and service opportunities.

 

Position RequirementsAmbitious results-oriented individual with entrepreneurial drive.Minimum one year experience as a successful Fire Alarm Sales Representative demonstrated by the consistent ability to exceed quota.Basic understanding of fire alarm systems, products, service, and design; knowledge of construction industry and familiarity with local and national fire codes are required.National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technology (NICET) Level II certification is desirable, however not required. Adept at prospecting, networking and building relationships to promote company market share.Effective listening and questioning skills, strong verbal/written communication and outstanding presentation skills are required.Individual must be computer literate with a working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.Knowledge of local market is strongly preferred.Experienced Fire Alarm Technicians or other Sales Professionals desiring to go into a fire alarm sales role will be considered.Convergint Technologies LLC is an equal opportunity employer.
