APAC, one of the largest highway construction contractors in the United States, is currently seeking a CONCRETE FOREMAN to join our Gulf Coast Division. This position will be based in Dothan, AL.

As a CONCRETE FOREMAN, you will have the responsibility to set schedules and direct the actions of two or more crew members on construction sites in their day to day construction and production activities.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervises finishing of wet surfaces to grade on all types of concrete work requiring a fine finish.

Occasionally demonstrates proper concrete finishing techniques; uses tools such as float, trowel, screed and template, hand shovel, motorized tamp, push broom or 10"-16" straight edge on extended handle up to 15 feet long.

Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in constructing roads, streets and airport runways and taxiways.

Reads blueprints and interprets data in all phases of road construction, including mixture of concrete most suitable for soil conditions.

6 years of experience in craft roles related to highway construction, 2 years in Foreman position.
Requires stretching, stooping, bending, squatting, twisting lifting, pushing, pulling and kneeling.
Requires frequent lifting of 25 pounds to 100 pounds.
Valid drivers license.
Pass physical exam and drug and alcohol tests.
