Gypsum Specialist

Stock Building Supply, the largest distributor of building materials to the professional contractor is seeking a highly motivated and energetic Gypsum Specialist to maintain day to day operations with our major customer accounts.  Successful candidates will be a technically savvy, high energy, self starter must have knowledge related to gypsum materials and the ability to prospect and solicit gypsum and stucco products to residential and commercial customers for the purpose of generating sales working with Outside Sales Representatives (OSR) to establish contacts with general contractors, purchasing managers and architects. Primary Responsibilities: Train inside and outside sales group on products with vendor support. Work with architects, designers, building owners, tenants, and contractors to choose products that fit their budget and make a reasonable profit for the deal. Team with corporate support staff to deliver high quality solutions to the customer on time and within budget.Cultivate relationships with end users, developers, contractors, and architects who have use for our servicesMinimum Qualifications: Work with Sales Manager to set monthly pricing for facility. Previous supervisory experience in a lumberyard is desirable. Demonstrated knowledge of the products and the respective installation of products in the building materials industry. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong ability to communicate and interact efficiently at various levels in the organization of Stock Building Supply and at the customer and with various disciplines on a technical basis. Ability to influence people that have varying personalities and work styles across organizational and geographical boundaries to achieve results. Must be blueprint savvy - Needs to be able to speak from and navigate through blueprints with customers as required.Compensation: The successful candidate will be offered a competitive salary, commission, and benefits package that includes comprehensive health, dental, and 401K plan.
