INDUSTRIAL PAINTER - SHEET METAL FABRICATOR - HUNTON TRANE SERVICES - HOBBY AIRPORT LOCATION

Hunton Trane Services is currently seeking a Sheet Metal Fabricator with Industrial Painting/Sandblasting experience. This is a full-time position working at our shop near Hobby Airport.

 

Position Title:  Sheetmetal Fabricator/Industrial Painter

Description:
Responsible for repairing/Renovating/Installing: air handling units, cooling towers, package units, installing fans and modifying sheet metal projects, painting.


Responsibilities:

Repair/replace/renovate/install: all sheetmetal related work including but not limited to: air handling units, cooling towers, package units, installing fans and modifying sheet metal projects. Special projects as assigned

 

Skills Required:

Safe work habits

2-3-years previous experience in HVAC Sheetmetal work

Capable of taking charge of projects with minimal supervision

Comprehension of mechanical/electrical/blueprint drawings for material lists and installation purposes.

Self-starter

Team oriented.


Education and/or Experience Required:

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Valid Drivers License.

 

Physical Requirements:


While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, talk, and hear. The employee frequently is required to walk; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb stairs and ladders. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up 75 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

This position requires working outdoors, in mechanical/equipment rooms and possible extreme weather conditions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and heavy equipment. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions; risk of electrical shock (high voltage); and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud
