Inside Sales - Parts Specialist

 

 

Midwest Machinery Company has been in the sales and service business of cooling towers, boilers and pumps for commercial and industrial applications for 85 years. We serve Eastern Missouri and Central/Southern Illinois. We are growing rapidly.  As such, we have an immediate opportunity for an ambitious, driven, and technically adept Inside Sales – Parts Specialist.

We need a self motivated, personable, and intelligent individual to fill this position. You must be a team player who can work cooperatively with HVAC Contractors, Wholesalers and End Users as well as the manufacturers we represent.  You must have good computer skills and be familiar with all of the Microsoft Office programs (with special emphasis on Excel and Outlook). You must be outgoing and able to provide customer service and solve customer problems over the phone and through email.

 

We are willing to train a person with the right skills and attitude, but would prefer someone with experience in mechanical and/or electrical systems.  HVAC training/knowledge and/or sales experience is an asset. You must be mechanically inclined.  You must have enough technical ability to understand how our equipment works and be able to convey that knowledge to customers. We are looking for a long-time employee to fill this position.

Primary Duties - Parts SpecialistDevelop relationships with personnel at key Wholesale Distributors of HVAC & plumbing parts.Become familiar with all of our products and develop a working understanding of their part of the “system”.Learn, understand, and manage our inventory of parts.Be able to accurately identify price and quote parts to multiple customer types.Enter Sales Order and Purchase Order in MAS 90 (accounting system).General Management of the order.Follow up on aging quotes.Sell service & installation.Assist other members of the team as required.
