Laborer, Grounds Maintenance

Position Description

Perform tasks which require mainly physical abilities and effort involving little or no specialized skill or prior work experience. The following tasks are typical of this occupation: Digs, fills, and tamps earth excavations; levels ground using pick, shovel, tamper, and rake; shovels concrete and snow; cleans culverts and ditches; cuts tree and brush; operates power lawnmowers and other types of machinery and equipment. Spreads sand and salt on icy roads and walkways; picks up leaves and trash.

 

 

 

Position Requirements

Must be able to safely operate groundskeeping equipment.

Applicants selected may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
