Land Development Engineer

Key Responsibilities:
Plans, schedules, conducts, or coordinates detailed phases of civil engineering work for a part of a major project or for multiple total projects with many complex features.
Devises new approaches to problems encountered and assists in developing solutions to unusual or complex engineering requirements, Assesses the feasibility or soundness of proposed engineering solutions.
Participates in a job completion review to critique both the positive and negative aspects of the team's performance on the project.
Supervises and reviews the work of other engineers, technicians, computer operators, drafters, and others who assist in specific assignments.
Assignments may include complete design responsibility for site development engineering from master planning through construction, specialized design responsibility in a specific area of expertise, engineering investigations and report preparation, and other civil engineering activities.

Position Requirements:Education/Registration B.S. Civil Engineering or related field from an ABET accredited curriculum or equivalent plus appropriate continuing education. Registration as a California Civil Engineer is required for this position. In lieu of B.S., may hold an Engineer-in-Training certificate plus six years experience in civil engineering. Must qualify for and pass the California Civil Engineer examination within a reasonable time period.
