Description:


The Leadership Development Director reports to the Vice President, Leadership Development.  This individual will help to develop and deliver leadership training and related programs offered through our client’s University and programs developed specifically for the individual Districts.  This individual will provide Program Management oversight of the Districts and Home Office Departments' Leadership Succession Program.

 

Responsibilities:

· Assist the Districts, as needed, in enhancing their Leadership Succession Program (LSP) and manage the Home Office systems, reporting and other administrative requirements of the program.

· Work with the District/Department Management Team, as requested, in developing and creating systems to effectively manage the individual development plans for the people in their LSP.

· Develop, enhance and deliver leadership training programs approved by the Company’s University Board.

· Develop and facilitate specific programs such as teambuilding sessions/strategic planning sessions as requested by the individual Districts and Home Office Departments to improve their leadership/management processes.

· Deliver leadership training programs (District Leadership Development Programs, University Leadership Electives and new Leadership Programs).

· Assist Districts and Home Office Departments in developing and delivering leadership training programs on their own.

· Research and maintain familiarity with current leadership training practices and literature so training programs attain/maintain best-of-class stature within the Company’s Leadership framework.

· Provide coaching and one-on-one performance improvement feedback as part of a training program or as follow-up to a training program.

 

Requirements:

 

· Bachelor's degree from a 4-year accredited university.

· Minimum of 7-10 years progressive experience as a corporate trainer.

· Program management experience and demonstrated ability to work effectively through/with others to enhance overall performance.

· Prior experience developing effective leadership programs.

· Well developed written and oral communication skills.

· Demonstrated excellent facilitation and presentation skills.

· Experienced in delivering interactive leadership and supporting skills training.

· Demonstrated experience with 360 assessments and various behavioral style instruments to assist with individual development/coaching as part of the delivered leadership program.

· Up-to-date on innovative training/learning methodologies and techniques.

· High level of "Emotional Intelligence".

· Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.

· Ability to work independently and be a self-starter.

· Demonstrated self-confidence, creativity and originality.

· Action-oriented and self-directed.

· Significant travel required.
