Lotus Notes Help Desk Administrator

A leading multi-national franchise organization has an immediate opening on our IT team in our Oaks Pennsylvania office for a Lotus Notes Help Desk Administrator.  You will be supporting a highly developed hardware and software infrastructure that is composed primarily of laptop, tablet, and desktop computers running Windows software. You will work between Level I tech support team and the programming team. You will support a custom Lotus Notes application deployed to over 1000 users and provide technical support to the corporate headquarters network.

Our network is widely distributed through the US and Canada so excellent verbal communication skills are extremely important. The ability to solve technical issues and work independently with end users on the phone is also a key attribute.

The successful applicant will be a personable self-starter who can work well others. You will be working in a team environment and will be interacting with members of many teams. Candidates should have an associates or bachelors degree in Information Technology or related field and 2 to 5 years work experience supporting Lotus Notes 6.5 or 7.  Knowledge of Lotus Notes database applications is required and any experience with Notes programming is a strong plus.  Experience providing PC tech support on location and/or over the phone is a must.  Applicants should be very familiar with Windows and be able to perform basic network administration tasks. 

This is a permanent full time day shift position.

Basic Responsibilities

· Create & maintain Lotus Notes user accounts and ids, mail boxes and address books.

· Administer database security and maintain mail and security groups.

· Configure workstations by installing software and setting up the Lotus Notes client.

· Respond to technical support issues by phone and email and document as required.

· Learn our custom Lotus Notes database applications.

· Troubleshoot basic hardware and software issues in the office and with remote users over the phone.

· Install and configure basic office software and hardware.

· Reload Windows O/S on laptops and desktops.

· Provide end user training where required.

· Perform basic database administration and maintenance.

· Make updates and changes to web pages in HTML.

· Help test new software and software patches.

· Ability to create software documentation.

· Track software licensing.

 

Requirements

· 3 to 5 years experience supporting Lotus Notes mail and databases.

· 2 or 4 year degree in Information Technology or related field.

· 2 years in a call center or help desk environment.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential

· You must be very detail oriented and perform tasks to a high degree of precision.

· Database admin and HTML experience would be important.

· Computer Networking experience a plus.

· Familiar with using Microsoft Office.

· Ability to lift or carry boxes up to 30 pounds.
