 Maintenance Technician

Boston Retail Products is a multi-million dollar international manufacturer and marketer of merchandising solutions to the nation’s largest retailers.  We currently have an opening of for a Maintenance Technician in our Medford, MA facility.

 

Principal Duties/Responsibilities:

 Takes a pro-active role in the daily maintenance and repairing of plant and production equipment to include regular maintenance and trouble shooting electrical, hydraulic, and air circuits.Performs emergency repairs in the timeliest way possible.Identifies and repairs problems using telephone support and outside vendor coordination.Calls outside vendors to repair equipment and tracks progress.Performs repairs of production down equipment.Provides support to Shift Supervisor as needed.Logs all periodic maintenance.Maintains all facilities equipment and grounds.Maintains all internal files of production equipment in need of repair.Fills requisitions for small hand tools and consumables.Receives and stocks the tools used in manufacturing.

 

 

Qualifications/Experience:

 Must have a valid driver’s license.Experience with the repair of facilities and production equipment in person and via telephone support.Minimum one year of experience.Familiarity with a personal computer, file maintenance, Word and Excel applications.Must be able to work overtime and be available on-call.Must be able to work independently.
