Maintenance Technician / Power Generation Facility

Description System One is seeking a Maintenance Technician for an opening in Sunnyside, Utah.The Maintenance Technician position is responsible for the maintenance of the site mechanical equipment, structural steel system, piping system and all other duties as assigned. This maintenance could range from simple repair/preventative maintenance to more complicated and physically demanding repairs. This is a very mobile position that requires a lot of walking, stair climbing and lifting of greater than 50 lbs.  Types of equipment, machinery, tools, etc., used on the job: wide variety of hand tools, electric, pneumatic hand tools as well as, lathes, welding, drill presses, and other types of machine shop equipment, loadall forklift and the plant pickup. The walking involved in this job is on concrete, metal grating and on gravel. The structure is approximately 150’ high and has both stairs and permanent ladders. The Smoke Stack maintenance deck is 125’ high and has a caged ladder. RequirementsThis position requires a person to use a wide variety of hand tools. It also requires the use of electric, pneumatic hand tools as well as, lathes, welding, drill presses, and other types of machine shop equipment. This position requires the ability to operate a Loadall forklift and the plant pickup. The lifting requirements of this job vary greatly. Although not required every day, the lifting of greater than 50 pounds to different heights is required. Successful completion and passing of the EEI MASS test. At least 3 years experience performing similar work is required. All individuals must demonstrate a strong aptitude in math, mechanical/electrical ability and production control. Excellent communication and team skills are a must. All candidates must satisfy respirator qualifications.
