We are currently showing a record work backlog, with several major projects on the horizon.JOB PURPOSE: Responsible for Sales Contract Development, Panel Design Engineering, Production Oversight, Profitability and Project Reporting for Strategic Panel orders within Controls Systems.  MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: -  Work closely with management and the Senior Engineer within Controls Systems to understand and anticipate strategic orders through the Sales Order Development process.-  Lead and direct the Panel Sales Contract Development efforts on projects identified by management as strategic projects. -  Coordinate and manage transition of strategic projects from Sales Contract Development to Panel Design Engineering and Production within Controls Systems.-  Manage and develop a Design Engineering resource.-  Approve finalized drawings, generate individual Panel and aggregate project BOM’s and develop production schedule to meet customer expectations and strategic business considerations for all assigned projects.-  Work closely with Operations Planner on material needs, material work flow coordination and vendor relations relative to assigned projects.-  Work closely with Shop Manager and Quality Manager to execute assigned projects through production efficiently. -  Develop with management a set of project performance metrics aimed at providing cost, margin, quality, production efficiency, cycle-time, cash flow and performance against customer expectations updates to senior management. Management reserve the right to assign or re-define duties and instruct the post holder to carry out any other duty commensurate with this post. COMPETENCIES REQUIRED: -  Knowledge of electrical control equipment and products required.-  Project management experience in industrial environment.-  Knowledge of electrical codes, power systems, electrical safety, standards and compliance.-  Proficient in use of CAD design and Project Management software.-  Capable of multi-tasking while maintaining required urgency across various assignments.-  Disciplined self starter with strong writing and verbal communicating skills.-  Strong business acumen and relationship oriented.-  Strong management and leadership skills.  EDUCATION/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: Required:- Minimum undergraduate degree in electronics or electrical field.- Preferred Masters Degree in technical field.- Minimum 10 years related experience   Send this Job to a Friend View all "Tyco" jobs Learn more about Tyco
