Job ID: 13321Position Description:ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITYWe are seeking a Market Sales Coordinator to join our growing team.The primary objective of the Market Sales Coordinator is to drive sales growth within a market. They will support multiple Grainger branches within a district/market and provide Sales Team support by following up on customer inquiries, quotes, and sales leads. The Market Sales Coordinator will proactively work to grow the business with leverage accounts. Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:• Makes outside sales calls to follow up on inquiries, open quotes, sales leads and to develop new accounts.• Provides branch and sales support with activities related to sourcing, quotes and closing sales leads. • Analyzes sales results with local accounts and develops and implements strategies to grow sales. • Actively probes to uncover unique and complex customer requirements and develops cost effective solutions to build customer relationships, loyalty and retention.• Reactivates and wins back customers who have reduced or discontinued solution resolution with Grainger.• Presents service, product, and promotional offerings to customers in order to generate customer awareness and sales.• Understands and utilizes current sales policies especially with respect to pricing.• Demonstrates local market knowledge and shares market and/or competitive information with branch and sales team.• Acts as a liaison between the customer and internal departments (branches, sourcing, distribution, transportation, inventory, etc.) as needed. • Increases customer touches by building relationships, sharing product information, educating on branch service capabilities and assists with problem resolution with key assigned accounts. • Provides feedback to Branch Managers regarding sales leads quality.• Actively participates in outside sales calls with sellers to add value by effectively communicating Customer Service (branch and onsite) capabilities to build customer relationships, loyalty, and retention.• Analyzes distribution lists for the Grainger catalog to ensure proper coverage of key customers and potential customers. • Establish and execute a coverage plan for several key unassigned accounts. Unassigned accounts with high potential will be targeted. • New business development. New account follow up and qualification. Prospecting, businesses that did not do business with Grainger.• Job site coverage. Resource would approach construction sites and introduce Grainger and uncover opportunities.• Implement and Maintain Inventory Solutions customers as needed. Position Requirements:Job requirements, including experience and education, include the following:• College degree preferred or 3 years experience with direct customer interaction in service and sales environment.• Ability to travel within assigned market• Knowledge of MRO products and their applications.• Self-motivated, possessing a high energy level and a desire to win.• Possess the technological capabilities to efficiently navigate the Grainger systems to support customers. • Strong business acumen and communication skills.• Ability to listen, gain trust and bring to closure an action, project, resolution or sale with customers.• Ability to utilize sales process to uncover customer objections/concerns, determine appropriate approach and provide solutions.• Ability to influence events to achieve goals beyond what is required.• Ability to stay with a position or plan of action until desired result is achieved or is no longer reasonably attainable.• Ability to work independently and maximize use of time and resources • Dependable Vehicle and insurance is Required• Ability to obtain any required commercial driver’s license.Position Attributes:The Market Sales Coordinator will report directly to the Branch Manager or Customer Service Manager and maintain strong relationships with the entire district team. It is important for this position to build cross-functional working relationships (Sales, Sourcing, Inventory Management, Merchandising, etc) and have the ability to work in a team-selling environment. *** Location of this position will be in Tupelo area. ***Grainger is a Fortune 500 company and the leading broad line supplier of facilities maintenance products serving businesses and institutions throughout North America with sales of over $5 billion.
