Track record of developing and executing successful deposit generating campaigns (e.g., free checking account, business banking, cash management, debit card)Minimum of 3 years experience in managing and coordinating the marketing program for a commercial bank.General banking background; knowledge of most aspects of a commercial bank.Highly organized, sense of urgency, skill in managing multiple projects, detail oriented, flexible with a positive attitude and team player approach.Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, plus ability to communicate effectively and successfully with all levels of management and employees.Excellent customer and employee contact skills; training experience a plus.High degree of computer literacy; working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office and Desk Top Publishing Software.Ability to commute between branches and administrative offices; ability to successful sales train.
JOB SUMMARY:
Takes active role in the formulation and execution of the bank-wide Marketing Plan; oversees programs/projects, ensures timely completion and monitors expenses to budget. Plans, directs, coordinates, trains, and executes marketing and advertising of bank’s products and services.
Duties
1) Development and Execution of Bank-wide Marketing Plan:
a) Works with administration, branches, and departments to establish annual bank-wide Marketing Plan and Goals to ensure and enhance market share, improve products/services profitability, produce consistent message, coordinate consistent look of collateral material and increase name awareness of marketplace.
b) Plans and oversees the bank’s advertising and promotional activities including print, electronic and direct mail.
c) Develops and executes promotional programs, both short and long range, to support sales promotions, increase product/service utilization by current customers and bring new customers to the bank.
d) Coordinates arrangements for special events; branch gatherings, special promotions, anniversary events, bank-wide meetings, etc.
2) Marketing Research, Analysis and Product Development:
a) Researches, analyzes and monitors financial, technological and demographic factors so that market opportunities may be capitalized on and the effects of competitive activity may be minimized. Offers recommendations on bank’s product pricing strategies and profitability based on competition comparisons and marketplace activities.
b) Monitors marketing results and initiates corrective action, if necessary, to be certain that the achievement of marketing objectives are within designated goals, guidelines, budgets and continue to meet changing market and competitive conditions.
c) Conducts marketing surveys on current and new product concepts.
d) Reviews market analyses to determine customer needs, volume potential, and price schedules and develops sales campaigns to accomplish sales goals of bank.
3) Other:
a) Communicates with and manages activities of internal resources and outside vendors for on-going marketing and advertising promotions, programs and campaigns to ensure that expenses are kept within budget.
b) Ensures that bank-wide marketing and advertising campaigns and programs plus all collateral material are in compliance with applicable banking laws and regulations.
c) Enhances bank awareness through volunteer functions.
d) Participates in community organizations and in community projects.
