Mechanical Engineer/Designer

Summary:

Mechanical Engineer/Designer responsible for developing design concepts and preparing construction documents in a fast paced environment.  Candidate will work under direction of a professional engineer but be expected to work independently.

Responsibilities:Design for mechanical systems ranging from simple to complex.  System types include HVAC and hydronic, industrial ventilation, process piping and plumbing. Development of feasibility studies and project programming reports. Interface with client and contractors, including design review meetings and construction contract administration.  Oversight of systems start-up and commissioning. Coordination with design team members, both in mechanical and other disciplines. Technical writing

 Requirements:Familiarity with the building codes. Good communicator and team player.  Ability to both lead and follow.  Highly organized. A general sense of responsibility and follow through.  Dedication and commitment, including punctuality and the willingness to do what it takes to get the job done. Interest in professional growth. Ability to learn quickly and grasp new concepts, especially as they relate to engineering and construction. Must be able to demonstrate a history of good client and customer communication skills. Proficiency with MS Word, Excel and Outlook Experience with semi-conductor, biotech and health care projects a plus. AutoCAD 2002 experience a plus BS degree preferred
