Job Title: Human Resources Manager

Job Summary:

Performs various human resources duties in areas such as employment, compensation, benefits, employee relations, or other special projects. Activities include maintaining computer databases, processing benefits transactions, processing personnel changes, filing, and answering questions on human resources policies and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



Works with each of the branch offices to coordinate with the local HR representative. Responsible of new employee orientation Responsible for all EMCOR HR filings Responsible for all Governmental filings and audits (like EEO-1, AAP and Vets-100). Works with Safety Manager to Maintain training files on employees Coordinates all EMCOR required training (Driver's, Harassment, etc.) Serves as a contact for employees.  Answers routine questions regarding policies and procedures.  Works with President and VP of HR for the Mobile Services Companies to resolve personnel-related problems by recommending concepts and potential courses of action. Performs duties in recruiting, employment, benefits, and other HR related tasks as needed Conducts various special studies and prepares various personnel reports, as needed Ensures that personnel policies and procedures are followed Performs background investigations Assists in preparing and delivering offers of employment as required Informing payroll and administration departments of a new employee's arrival Entering new employees into the HRIS system Administration of benefits Maintaining employee files both electronic and paper Administering FMLA and other leave policies as necessary Collecting necessary new hire forms Responds to routine inquiries of people from outside the company, including employee spouses.

 

Qualifications: --

· Associates Degree in Human Resources or related field or equivalent experience required, B.A. / B.S. desired

· Prior Human Resources experience required.  3 – 4 years general HR experience required.

· Knowledge of HR/personnel practices and principles, and all applicable labor, pay, benefits, health and safety laws and regulations

· Able to handle high level of confidentiality and common sense regarding employee information

· Good time management, communication, organization, and interpersonal skills

· Excellent PC skills (Excel, Word)
