Rhode Island Hospital/Hasbro Children?s Hospital, located in Providence, RI is a private, 719-bed, not-for-profit hospital and academic medical center. Rhode Island Hospital is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations and is Brown University's Warren Alpert Medical School primary teaching hospital.Under the general direction of the Director, Facilities Design & Development and in collaboration with the Administrative Director, Shared Services the Manager of the Architecture and Construction provides construction management for all new construction and major reconstruction for the Lifespan facilities and supports architectural and engineering design through participation in planning and technical reviews. Coordinates capital projects and system-wide renovations and construction of projects. Oversees the management and award of contracts with architectural and engineering consultants and construction contractors.Supports Facilities Management efforts in conceptualization, project approval and implementation. Includes research and data collection, management, analysis and reporting. Includes day to day problem solving. Master's and/or MBA degree and Professional Registration as an Architect or Engineer.QUALIFICATIONS-EXPERIENCE:Minimum of ten (10) years progressively responsible experience in managing architectural/engineering staff, with demonstrated effectiveness in implementation of major capital project planning and construction.
