Mgr Program Construction

Description:To manage and control the NSPT Capital Budget, while inspecting and maintaining all track structure and right-of-way on a Division to specifications set by CSXT and the Federal Railroad Administration. Directly supervises CAT Surfacing; Switch Timber; Road Crossing and SLWT track forces to ensure quality maintenance and safe work performance. Must manage, schedule and control material unloading ahead of SPT Teams. Responsible for managing the Brandt Truck forces to reduce M/W work train costs. Assists Division Engineer and Staff in planning NSPT functions over their territory. CSX Transportation is the largest company in the CSX family employing 34,000 management and union employees. Supervisory capabilities are a necessary requirement. Must be able to renew and restore track under traffic. Must have a demonstrated ability to use Microsoft EXCEL spreadsheets to schedule work and maintain records. Must be able to endure long hours and be willing to accept calls 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. Successful applicant must be able to demonstrate the ability to analyze and solve problems without assistance from an outside source. Must be knowledgeable of and able to meet all inspection requirements for CSXT and Federal Railroad Administration, ensuring safe passage of trains with little or no delay. Must have good communication, interpersonal and leadership skills. Must be able to make quality safety observations, and assist in the prevention of personal injuries and accident.
