ABC Soils, Inc. seeks an extremely well organized person to function as “right hand” person for the owner of a small, on-the-move environmental consulting and contracting company.  This person must have some knowledge of bookkeeping and of business in general and be good at using a computer and keyboarding.  He/she must be at ease making business-related phone calls, attending meetings, being reasonably assertive and putting forth recommendations.  He/she must be ready to handle a variety of tasks ranging from relatively sophisticated chores on down to emptying the trash - whatever needs to be done.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES EXAMPLES:

 

Office Administration: Answer phones, organize files, sort mail, manage email accounts, manage personnel certifications, manage office supply inventory, prepare mailings and shipping of small items, keep office neat and organized.

 

Business Administration:  Manage employee benefits, manage collections, track employee time and expenses (ensure that all information is submitted to the bookkeeper), investigate market costs, develop spreadsheets, prepare simple estimates and proposals, review invoices, manage recruitment postings, prepare correspondence, prepare insurance forms, maintain logs.

 

Consulting Support: Provide production support for report preparations, conduct property history research including local government and registry research, track regulatory compliance schedules, maintain field equipment (will train).
