PRODUCTION MANAGER - PRECISION FABRICATION

I am seeking a Production Manager – Precision Metal Fabrication My Client is a leading U.S. producer of high alloy products and fabricated metal components for the global market. Through its various subsidiaries, manufactures and distributes high alloy extruded shapes, formed parts and engineered systems for aerospace, industrial, defense, energy, chemical and consumer applications for customers around the world.With over 1400 employees and 18 locations in the United States, Canada, Europe, and Asia, this technology leader grew sales and profits over 20% in 2007. The Company intends to continue its diversification into higher margin value-added products in both new and traditional markets. This diversification has led to the development of new markets and products for energy production, as well as the engineering and fabrication of high alloy and other metallic transfer systems for deep-sea energy applications.My client is seeking a creative, self-motivated individual to actively manage fabrication department operations including assembly, welding, materials and quality.  As production manager you will be responsible for all department fabrication processes, equipment, production scheduling, work layouts, and production flow.  You will lead and direct a department of 20 – 30 employees.You must have a minimum 5 + years prior production supervision as a foreman, supervisor, or Leadman in precision metal fabrication with metal forming and assembly and welding.  Knowledgeable in welding processes (SAW, GTAW, GMAW, and SMAW); ASME welding procedure development and NDE methods. Experience in lean manufacturing, scheduling production and maintaining and improving production standards and quality.  You must be able to effectively manage people, and possess excellent problem-solving and leadership skills (communication, conflict management, decision-making, and time management.
