Parts Sales Manager

Responsible for the administration, implementation, and management of the Parts sales processes.  Sales constitutes all the processes and functions required for obtaining and executing parts orders and customer satisfaction.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

 

· Overall responsibility for the following functions within the Parts Department: customer and territory management, new customer acquisition, customer satisfaction measurement, maximum account penetration, market penetration, and customer retention. 

· Responsible for achieving objectives regarding sales goals. 

· Monitors, measures, and modifies process and process measurements to effectively and efficiently meet customer needs. 

· Works with Parts Manager to establish required skill sets, talents, and capabilities of inside/outside sales personnel. 

· Conducts performance appraisals in concert with Team Leaders to recommend raises, promotions, training, and disciplinary actions. 

· Manages performance by monitoring the effectiveness and efficiency of inside/outside sales personnel in relation to order attainments, customer service and store profitability. 

· Maintains customer satisfaction by investigating concerns, implementing corrective action, and communicating with customers and staff as needed. 

· Responsible for internal communications flow to other parts personnel. 

· Flexibility to work outside normal work hours/weekends, as required.

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Directly supervises inside/outside sales personnel in the Parts Department.  Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.  Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; coaching and mentoring employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

 



EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university and two to five years parts related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Must have good computer skills.  Knowledge of Versyss, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, PRIDE, and CATS a plus.
