Payroll Specialist

J. F. Ahern Co., a major mechanical and fire protection contractor headquartered in Fond du Lac, WI, has an excellent opportunity for a Payroll Specialist to join our Accounting team.

 

Responsibilities include data entry, processing union and office payroll, filing appropriate governmental taxes, preparing and filing W-2’s, preparing monthly union reports, and responding to and resolving employee payroll inquiries. Qualified candidates should have 2-3 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a computerized payroll environment.

 

The successful candidate will enjoy working in a team-oriented environment, be a self-starter, have excellent organizational and communication skills, be detail oriented, and be able to handle multiple tasks and priorities within strict deadlines. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.
