Planner / Scheduler - Power Plant

CB&A Project Management Services is a privately owned company based in Birmingham, Alabama that provides project management and engineering services to heavy industrial clients. 

 

CB&A is currently seeking an experienced Site Planner/Scheduler for an immediate opening at a power plant near Birmingham, Alabama. The assignment has a 36 month duration. 

 

Requirements:Minimum of 3 - 5 years of Project Controls experience on industrial construction projects.  Experience within the Chemical, Power, Pharmaceuticals, Cement & Lime, and/or Pulp & Paper industries a plus. Proven experience with Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Outage, and Start-up planning and scheduling.  Experience within the power industry or utility industry is a major plus.  Experience with scrubber projects also a major plus. Must have superior skills with Primavera 3.1 Scheduling Software and Microsoft suite of software products, especially MS Project, Excel, Word, and Outlook. Candidate should be ambitious, self-starting, and possess team leadership skills.Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.  Will interact with a wide range of project team members.

Responsibilities:As a Scheduler, be able to define deliverables, activities, and events related to the Engineering/Design, Procurement, and Construction.Develop, maintain, and analyze Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Outage, and Start-up schedules.Must be able to incorporate weekly contractor schedules using the Master/Sub Project method of Primavera.  Be able to facilitate meetings with contractors to discuss progress and to insure milestones are being met on time.

 

 

In addition to the above assignment, CB&A has an immediate need for a Planner/Scheduler for an outage at a chemical plant in western Kentucky.  This would be a 4 to 6 month assignment.
