Lehigh Hanson’s North Region, has an immediate opportunity for an experienced Plant Manager at our Indianapolis, IN facility.Job Description: The Plant Manager is tasked with directing and managing all plant operations with overall responsibilities for production, maintenance, quality and other production-related activities. This position ensures compliance with all standards, policies and regulations for safe, environmentally-sound production of a quality product. This position has 65 direct reports and reports directly to the Area Operations Manager. Responsibilities include: 1. Plan and direct the daily operations of an over 3,000,000 tpy quarry producing crushed stone as well as sand & gravel, 2. Effectively and proactively administer Lehigh Hanson’s safety program ensuring compliance with MSHA rules and regulations,3. Manage direct reports under the guidelines of Lehigh Hanson HR Policies and Procedures,4. Develop and execute operating and capital budgets for the facility, 5. Oversee the production planning, staffing, and day-to-day manufacturing operations in a cost-effective manner,6. Prepare operational schedule and coordinate production activities to ensure production and quality of products meet specifications,7. Troubleshoot and resolve operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays,8. Establish key inventoried items needed for all MRO (maintenance, repair and operation) items for the plant, and9. Effectively interact with governmental and regulatory agencies, customers, vendors, Hanson management and neighbors as required.
