Power Generation Specialist

If you have experience selling, servicing, or using Portable and Mobile Power Generation Equipment and you are ready for a challenging move up in your career with a true industry leader, this could be the opportunity you’ve been waiting for!  Our client, an internationally known equipment manufacturing company in business for over 150 years, seeks a Power Generator Specialist for the North Central Region.  Our client provides a superior benefit package, product & sales training, and the kinds of professional support systems that will help you elevate your career to the big leagues!  The overall responsibility of the position is to increase sales of the company’s high quality Portable and Mobile Generators, Pumps, and Light Towers through product introductions and hands-on demonstrations.  Your responsibilities will include both personal visits to prospective customers as well as serving as the Power Generation Specialist member of a sales team.Minimum qualifications for the position include: Power Generation equipment experience – a thorough understanding of both portable and mobile generators. (Their function, engine and generator sizing parameters, operation, areas of applications, etc.) The ability to sell, demonstrate and explain operation of the equipment. An understanding of how to explain the benefits available from well designed, high quality generating equipment. The ability to meet prospective customers and quickly establish a professional rapport and relationship. The ability to attend local trade shows and professionally represent your equipment to potential clients. Experience working in the traditional construction equipment distribution channels (dealers, distributors, rental businesses, etc) is highly desirable. You must be an excellent communicator with the energy and enthusiasm required to seek out and call on a variety of potential customers.
