MOCA Systems is a nationally recognized project and construction management firm that provides owners a differentiated approach to managing their construction projects throughout programming, design and construction.  Typical projects include new office buildings, hotels, hospitals, aircraft hangars, retail centers, industrial work centers, infrastructure, and large residential projects.  MOCA has a premier client base that includes the Department of Defense, City, State, and Local Governments, and commercial developers.

 

MOCA Systems is currently seeking a Principal to lead their Honolulu, HI office.  This position will be responsible for executing and managing all aspects of projects and programs within the Pacific Region.  The ideal candidate will have proven success in business development: identifying, establishing, and managing strategic client relationships, identifying client needs, and gathering resources and building effective project delivery teams to help win and deliver work. As a leader you will be able to foster skills among project staff through mentoring and coaching.

 

TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

· Manage and hire a staff of Project Managers and Engineers

· Manage existing clients

· Ability to develop business relationships in this region and expand our existing client base

· Provide quality control and be responsible for all deliverables

· Responsible for all aspects of work assigned to this office

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

 

Interested candidates should have a thorough understanding of construction principles.  Successful candidate will have the ability to lead and manage a team of Project Managers, Engineers, schedulers, and office support staff in the development of detailed construction cost estimates at the conceptual, schematic, design, development and final phases.  The successful candidate will be responsible for the development and execution of plans, schedules, and budgets using standard cost and scheduling applications augmented by the MOCABuild project controls system.

 

Candidates should have:

· Four-year college degree (B.S.) Required

· PE, AIA, PMP, or CCE preferred

· 15 years of related Engineering experience in construction, cost estimating or scheduling

· Demonstrated MS Excel and Word proficiency

· Experience with RSMeans and Primavera is a plus

· Experience with Department of Defense Construction Programs is a plus

· Solid organization, planning, and leadership skills

· Good working relationships with NAVFAC or AFCEE a plus
