 WHO WE ARE: Fluor is one of the world’s largest, publicly owned engineering, procurement, construction and maintenance services organizations.  We are a service organization and our success depends upon the combined capabilities and contributions of all employees.  Fluor has excellent employment opportunities. SUMMARY:  Responsible for the Procurement of services and goods in a facilities maintenance environment.  Primary job responsibilities include subcontractor and supplier negotiations, managing RFQ / bid processes, assessing risks, awarding work and performing support process functions in accordance with business practices.  POSITION OVERVIEWPer established Practices and Procedures, this position:·  Manages subcontractor qualification processes to comply with company requirements.  Maintains various records in software systems and in hardcopy files.  ·  Reviews requisitions for accuracy, and ensures appropriate approvals.  Manages the competitive bid process in accordance with established procedures.  Reviews work scopes for completeness, prepares / issues / receives bid packages, and assesses bidder responses.  Makes recommendations, assures project approvals, and awards work.·  Performs contracting activities using established forms and procedures.·  Processes Purchase Orders against approved requisitions for either goods or services using maintenance management software.  Conducts all follow-through activities to ensure transaction completion.·  Provides as-needed support to cross-functional organizations inside and outside the procurement process.   DESIRED SKILLSETS·  Education: High school diploma.  Associates degree preferred.·  Experience: 3+ years of direct procurement experience, or 5+ years experience in a supporting or related position.·  Mathematical aptitude with the ability to understand and calculate financial effects on purchasing-related transactions.·  Possess a functional knowledge of the interests of business, and Purchasing related issues, concerns and transactions. ·  Must possess the ability to interact with, and manage relationships at all levels of the internal and external network.  Must be able to directly negotiate issues of business. ·  Must be able to collaborate and lead small teams, self-manage task priorities, and enforce Practice compliance throughout the Procurement work process.  ·  Must possess excellent written and verbal communication / interpersonal abilities with an emphasis on delivering a high degree of customer satisfaction.  ·  Software:  Ability to utilize software running on an Oracle Database platform and to conduct and perform tasks using the Microsoft Office Suite of products, and Lotus Notes.·  A high degree of organizational and administrative skills.  Must be able to proactively manage contractor, Purchase Order, Contract and project status filing requirements.  Benefits: We offer a competitive benefits package which includes Health, Dental, and 401K.   How to Apply: forward resumes to dawn.gallegos@fluor.com   We support a drug-free workplace through pre-employment chemical screening and is an Equal Opportunity Employer that recognizes the value of a diverse workforce. FLUOR: How The World IS Built...   Eligible candidates must be a US citizen or legally authorized to work in the US.  Fluor Craft Video Company: Fluor Location: Essex Junction, VT Status: Full Time, Employee Job Category: Project/Program Management Relevant Work Experience: 5+ to 7 Years Education Level: Some College Coursework Completed Reference Code: 11825 Fax: 866.430.4562
