A lucrative opportunity exists for a tenacious Chemical Sales Manager/Business Developer with a leading, international manufacturer of packaging materials. 

 

Job Description Develop North American chemical sales in a wide range of markets, including the industrial, health, and personal care sectors The products to be sold include specialty, APIS, fine chemicals, and custom and manufactured productsManage and generate relationships with Customers (in North America) and Suppliers (worldwide)35% of the time should be spent on account maintenance and 65% on developing new businessCreate and implement strategies to increase salesNegotiate terms and prices with both customers and suppliersPrepare and adhere to an annual sales budget to achieve financial goalsManage inventory levels Attend and participate in Chemical Industry Trade ShowsInteract with accounting regarding posting receivables

 All candidates MUST have the following experiences to qualify for considerationA Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry Required (Masters Preferred) At least 5 years experience purchasing and selling chemicalsHave a diverse list of industry contactsKnowledge of inco-terms and import practicesA strong background in developing relationships with customers and suppliersOutstanding organizational skillsAbility to work independently with a strong entrepreneurial senseHighly motivated and well organizedProfessional attitude and demeanorExcellent problem solving skills
