Project Controls Engineer

Alutiiq, LLC has an immediate need for a Project Controls Engineer for several construction projects located in the Denver, Colorado area. Strong emphasis on effort hour and job cost forecasting, earned value and cost control. Close interface with internal project team. Track change orders and subcontractor cost progress. Produce cost and financial reports. Tasks will include field inspections, interaction with subcontractors. Will prepare project controls submittals, documentation of job progress, evaluation of requests for change orders from subcontractors. Candidate will utilize the “enterprise approach” of Primavera’s V5.0 & V6.0 software by employing corporate standard EBS/WBS groupings for schedules which will track both project revenues and costs. Proven experience in the developing, maintaining, forecasting and controlling engineering and/or construction schedules and costs. Experience with Department of Defense projects preferred. Experience with U.S. Army Corps of Engineer and proficiency with Primavera 5.0 or 6.0. Solid written and oral communication skills required. Strong skills in Excel, Word, Microsoft Access. The ideal candidate will have a minimum three (3) years of experience in managing both cost and schedule on construction projects, although long term experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
