Project Controls Engineers

Position Description:

Primary Responsibility• Provide project scheduling and cost control support, integration, analysis, and reporting that allows construction management to understand project status and make effective and timely decisions. Ongoing/Special Duties• Establish and/or implement the project scheduling and cost reporting integration processes and system.• Update project schedules and cost control data with validated data in a timely manner. Provide input for Weekly and Monthly Progress Reports.• In conjunction with the Construction Field Engineers, monitor and analyze work progress against the schedule and budget. • Support recovery plan development activities. • Monitor contractor earned value reporting on agreed-to projects• Provide meaningful input into the decision-making process based on knowledge of project schedule and project budgets and costs. • Assist in the evaluation of estimates for contract changes

Qualifications:

• Candidates must have ability to understand and evaluate project direction and participate in ongoing reporting to construction management and Client management. • Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or Business, or equivalent experience. • Experience with construction of power plants or large multi-discipline industrial projects are preferred.• Strong verbal and written communication skills. • Leadership skills, including the ability to integrate multiple parties, and the ability to adapt project controls principles in a construction environment. • PC scheduling and cost reporting program proficiency is required. • Must have 8 years combined experience in project controls disciplines.
