Project Controls Manager

N. A. Water Systems, a Division of Veolia Water Solutions & Technologies (VWS) is currently seeking a Project Controls Manager to work in our Moon Township, PA office

Water Systems, LLC provides complete water and wastewater solutions from initial studies and process design to complete design-build services.  With expertise and know-how based on 90 years of experience in a range of industries, our complete capabilities include environmental studies and consulting services, process development and testing, detailed engineering and drawings, project and construction management, system start-up and operational training.  Our experience in providing complete solutions for a variety of facilities includes: industrial water and wastewater treatment, water and wastewater recycle/reuse, municipal water supply and wastewater treatment, industrial air pollution control, storm water management, solids dewatering/recycling/incineration/disposal and landfill design.

 

The Project Controls Manager will oversee the Project Controls functions. The selected candidate will provide department direction and project management control functions for multiple projects.  Responsibilities include:Provide estimate/budget input for both the project control department and for specific projectsProvide estimate/budget analysis, and develop/report earned valuesOversight of the in-house Project Planners/SchedulersAssist Project Managers by performanalyses of  expended vs. budgeted costsProvide input  to change management system identifying scope, schedule and cost variances from original scope baseline.Develop and maintain standardized work  breakdown structures Monitore, track, analyz, and report schedule progress and cost performance Inform Project Managers of potential problems related to cost and schedule and make recommendations for corrective action and path forward

Assisting Project Managers in project reporting Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline or project controls/management is required for this position, along with a minimum of ten years of relevant project controls experience.  Candidates must be knowledgeable in the design and construction processes for various types of projects.  They should have demonstrated experience with developing budget/cost controls, earned value management implementations, and project schedule development and controls.  They should be fluent in utilizing project management applications to develop, analyze, and interpret project resource loaded schedules, work breakdown structures, and organization breakdown structures with Microsoft Project and Primavera.
