Project Controls Specialist

AMEC is the number one ranked international design firm by ENR magazine. The Project Controls Specialist will support the successful federal programs divisions performing large construction projects for the Department of Defense. This position will provide project planning, scheduling, cost tracking, and project financial support for government projects.

Responsibilities
Primary duties entail preparing and maintaining project schedules, tracking cost, working with project managers to prepare estimate to completes, and other project controls related activities. Provide project managers the support necessary to ensure projects are performed within budget and completed on time.

Utilize project management systems to update and manage project budgets, commitments, expenditures and forecasts.
Develop WBS and project coding structures.
Develop and maintain cost loaded schedules for both design and construction related projects.
Project performance analysis using earned value techniques.
Support reporting requirements for invoice submittals and monthly status reports.
Maintain project budget and forecast spending plans.
Download and analyze project expenditures, commitments, and invoicing data.

Knowledge / Experience
BS in Engineering, Construction Management, or other related discipline.
5+ years project controls/cost-schedule experience.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Access.
Proficiency with Primavera Project Planner.
Strong interpersonal skills, creative solution and problem solving skills.
