Project Coordinator - Construction

Collins Electrical Company, Inc. is seeking a PROJECT COORDINATOR for our Stockton branch. 

 

The position requires 2+ years of construction project coordination experience.  A background in electrical construction is desired.

 

The Project Coordinator must be able to:Assist Project Managers and Superintendents as needed including typing, mailing and tracking correspondenceMaintain all project documents as assignedReview documents and verify correct amounts with back up and distribute as requestedIssue and follow up on RFI’sPrepare, submit and follow up on submittalsComplete purchase order increase/decrease request forms per project manager’s directionReview executed change orders, distribute documents to accounting and send to purchasing documents required to order materialsMaintain web-based project management software database including scanning incoming documentation, processing correspondence and tracking all job-related documentsPrepare agenda for branch job meetings, attend and take minutes and distribute both documents to attendees prior and subsequent to the meetings

 

Priorities of Essential Functions:Update Accubid C-job with all incoming and outgoing correspondence, including the following:Prepare, submit and track submittal packagesPrepare, submit and track RFI’sReview, distribute and track Change Order RequestsPrepare, submit and track Closeout Documents RequestsAll other duties as assigned

 

Candidates must have good verbal and written communication skills, maintain accurate files in alphabetical and chronological order, organize workload, prioritize requests and perform multiple tasks at the same time. Must be proficient with spreadsheets, databases, word processing and general office equipment.  The successful candidate will present a professional image and a positive attitude.
