Project Management Site Manager (Construction)
One of the largest and most successful Construction Management firms in Pennsylvania (headquarted in Pittsburgh), whose mission is to "provide clients with a reliable partner capable of managing all phases of construction", is currently seeking a "PROJECT MANAGEMENT SITE MANAGER" for a $10,000,000.00 plus construction project in the Allentown/Lehigh Valley, PA area. Interested candidates should currently be residing in the general Allentown/Lehigh Valley or surrounding area and have knowledge of the local construction market.
This individual’s primary focus will be to serve as the company's representative on site during the construction through the close out of the project by coordinating all construction activities between multiple prime contracts including but not limited to the following:
- Ensuring the successful completion of assigned project within the CPM (Critical Path Method) schedule and the set budget.
- Responsible for construction in accordance with engineering drawings and specifications, management of field operations, and contractor supervision.
To verify the contractors work is proceeding in accordance with the plans and specifications to insure that the company's needs are being met.
- Conduct project meetings & coordinating construction activities by preparing man-power loading schedules, weekly reports, update the CPM project schedule and process pay applications.
- Review, analyze, and resolve field construction problems and discrepancies with the company, architect, and contractors.
- Resolve, estimate and process potential change orders on the company's behalf.
The successful candidate will serve as the company's representative on site to ensure that their goals are met.
Education and Experience Profile:
- A BS in engineering, or construction management and at least three to five years progressive experience in construction site management.
Or
- Ten years documented experience as a construction/site manager.
- Experience with "Public" construction projects a definite plus.
Skills:
- Leadership: Candidate must demonstrate the ability to direct other professionals and set an example of honesty, integrity and perseverance.
- Communications: Candidate must demonstrate excellent business communications and interpersonal skills including business writing. Must be proficient in MS Word and MS Project.
- Organization: Candidate must prepare documentation for weekly coordination meetings and provide status reports to our clients and the prime contractors using various organizational tools and software.
- Analytics: Candidate must demonstrate the ability to prepare executive summary level information for principals and clients.
- Specialized Technical Skills: Candidate shall demonstrate a specialization in at least one of the following skill sets:
o Project Controls (Estimating, Scheduling, Tracking, etc.)
