Position Description:

 

In this very important position you will have the general management responsibility of individual major projects, in accordance with the policies, goals and objectives established by Bigge Crane and Rigging Company, (“The Company”). 

 

 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:Develop and maintain the schedule for Project Resources, (i.e. equipment, personal, sub-contractors, etc.)Convert estimates into budgets that can be easily interpreted in the fieldReview progression, milestones and P&L of all jobs weeklyChair “Lessons Learned” meetings after each job completionChampion special process improvements projects, (i.e. PDA project)Coordinate all billing, extra pricing and claims with customer, Bigge sales and Operations ManagerFulfills all job site requirements while insuring that weekly job site safety meetings are conductedMaintain a job file and job site daily reportCoordinates engineering requirements for the projectProvide input into project estimates

 

Job-Related Qualifications:

· Comprehensive experience in sales and knowledge of engineering and construction industry markets and customer desired

· Prior related work experience with customers from commercial, government and industrial markets desired; including power generation and petroleum and refinery sectors; specific exposure to heavy lift and heavy transport arena is a plus

· Knowledge in preparation of capture plans; pre-positioning, target, pursuit and capture of strategic target

· Skill in oral and written communication with demonstrated ability in making presentations to customers

· Experience in developing qualification documents, contracts and proposal

· Knowledge and experience with cost basis estimating

· Knowledge and experience with general contracting management, claim management and contract negotiations

· Knowledge of health and safety (OSHA)

· Knowledge of rigging and transportation work

 

Education and Experience:

· 4 year college degree (experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree)

· 3-5 years minimum Project Management experience
