Project Manager - Public Works

DeSilva Gates Construction, one of the leading heavy/civil & highway contractors in Northern California, has a position open for a talented and experienced Project Manager to work in the Greater Bay & Sacramento Areas. This key individual must possess the skills and experience to be effective in making decisions, managing projects and people within our Public Works Department.

You will exceed client expectations and construct projects under budget by utilizing our modern fleet of heavy equipment (many pieces equipped with automation), as well as utilizing our asphalt plants, material resources and subcontracting partners. Excellent communication and organizational skills are required.

Heavy highway & civil engineering experience a plus.

Responsibilities include:

Understanding the needs of each Client and project.

Critical Path Method Schedule “CPM”, creation and updates using Primavera.
Project scheduling and coordination of our forces and our subcontractors

Contract Management, RFIs and Submittals

Billings and Subcontractor Payments

Change order and subcontract change order processing
Documenting job activities; daily diaries, progress photo’s
Daily cost analysis and cost report management.

Value Engineering or Cost Reduction Incentive Proposals “CRIPs”
Taking advantage of our extensive web based intranet to manage projects.
