Solar Construction/Project Managers

 

A successful candidate will have:

·  Three to five years of solar, electrical, or construction experience including understanding of contractual commitments, field coordination/installation, site supervision and how to manage customer expectations.

·  Proven ability to lead day-to-day project oversight and management.

·  Provide supervision of sub-contractors.

·  Able to plan and monitor schedules, budgets and other resources.

 

Other job responsibilities will include:

·  Ensures all labor and materials are ordered in a timely manner, based on production and installation lead times.

·  Interfaces with outside contractors to review and /or develop construction plans; coordinated communication with and work of outside contractors.

·  Develops and monitors project budgets and ensures all work is completed within budgetary restrictions.

·  Develops project schedules and ensures work is completed within established timeline.

·  Oversees completion of all required paperwork.

·  Coordinates with design department and other appropriate staff to ensure drawings are accurate and meet job specifications.

·  Maintains regular communication with field coordinators/design project manager to ensure quality control and adherence to project schedules.

·  Reviews all vendor and subcontractor invoices; resolves discrepancies.

·  Ensures that all necessary permits and approvals are received and required inspections are scheduled and completed.

·  Possesses and maintains thorough knowledge of OSHA requirements; ensures that all OSHA guidelines and programs and implemented and enforced to maintain a safe and health work environment.

·  Keeps up to date on overall activities of the team, identifying problem areas and taking corrective actions.

·  Regularly reports on status of projects, either in person or through written reports/correspondence.

·  Provide effective point of contact for customers.

·  Take initiative to eliminate obstacles to team success.

·  Identify & complete process improvement projects.

·  Drive customer satisfaction through commitment to quality.

 

Must be willing and physically capable of conducting site inspections (climb ladders, walk on roofs, electrical equipment rooms, etc).

Subcontract management experience and travel to installation projects sites is required.
