Project Scheduler

 

Project Scheduler function is to develop project schedules, analysis charts, job forecasts and labor forecasts.This position will be located in our Worcester, Massachusetts facility.

 

Principal duties and responsibilities:Works with Project Team to plan and develop project schedules. Helps prepare project analysis charts, job forecasts, and labor forecasts. Follows up actual against scheduled production and updates schedule. Prepares and issues project status charts and reports. Coordinates the planning and expediting of vendors and subcontractors.  Coordinates the expediting of materials, components, purchased parts and details, drawings, prints and supplies. Confers with the purchasing department and engineers on vendor and subcontractor schedules and assists with the clearing of difficulties and delays. Review and update the schedule status of purchased materials. Prepares Project schedules using Primavera software. Issue reports in various formats ranging from bar charts to time-scaled logic plots and audit progress against the detailed CPM Schedule. Performs required liaison with engineering, manufacturing, traffic, purchasing, and support departments. Assures establishment of appropriate lead times and timely receipt of materials. Discusses and resolves materials problems.

 

Education, Experience, or Special Skills Required:

(Minimum formal academic requirements; amount and type of job-related experience; special skills and competencies)

 

BS degree in engineering or Business discipline or practical experience sufficiently applicable to the specified position functions.

 

Project Planning functional experience.

Analysis, problem-solving and facilitation skills in a matrix environment

 

Power Generation Industry experience preferred. .

 

Experience with Primavera scheduling software a plus; experience with other planning and scheduling software (i.e. Microsoft Project, Timberline, Artemis), excel, and word processing required.
