Project Site Manager

Responsibilities:-

  Oversee all aspects, including planning, monitoring, and scheduling, the installation of cabling, electrical components, and devices following erection of Wind Turbine Generator towers.

  Read, interpret, and implement technical specifications, handbooks, and schematics for the correct installation of sophisticated electrical machinery and devices.

  Coordinate and supervise site labor for staging and delivery of electrical components to the installation area.

  Must be self motivated, energetic, and possess a positive attitude with the ability to lead a team of tower wiring personnel, as well as, independently.

  Maintain a commitment to safe work habits for the individual and the team.  Implement and adhere to all safety practices and work procedures.

  Perform a wide variety of tasks for the electrical construction of wind turbines throughout the United States.  Travel and overtime for periods of six (6) weeks will be required.

  Assign responsibilities, set deadlines, monitor, and summarize progress of the project.

  Perform quality assurance and control audits to ensure proper completion of all work items.

 

Qualifications and skills:-

  Must have actual experience with the electrical installation of various wind turbine generators. Must have the ability to lead and organize several crews of skilled labor to complete the electrical installation of several wind turbine generators simultaneously

  Ability to work indoors and outdoors in a variety of conditions and a broad range of  temperatures.

  Must be comfortable with working at heights up to 300 feet and in confined spaces, be in good physical condition for activities including ladder climbing and occasional heavy lifting of weights of 60 lbs or more.

  Pass a pre-employment and ongoing random drug tests.

  Possess a valid drivers license.

  Successfully complete required safety training courses upon hire and as a condition of employment.

  Strong verbal, writing, and listening skills to effectively communicate direction to both skilled and unskilled workers as well as management.

 

Education and experience:-

  Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with a minimum of seven (7) years overall project management experience with large projects.

  Demonstrated experience with the electrical installation of various types of wind turbine generators.

  Demonstrated ability to lead skilled crews completing multiple tasks.

  Demonstrated ability to successfully interface with customers and turbine vendors.
