Explore the opportunity of world-changing work available to you below.Responsible for the direction and performance of all startup activities, which include but are not limited to construction to startup turnover, operator training, pre-commissioning, commissioning, testing program, and initial plant operations through client turn over. The position ensures all work is performed in conformance with the project objectives and requirements. Principal areas of responsibility are safety, staffing, schedule, cost, quality, of startup activities. Manage, monitor, and control the project startup organization and its functions from construction release and turnover through completion of the startup process. Promote and maintain liaison with Owner’s operational personnel. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Ability to implement and maintain an effective safety process as related to commissioning activities.Implement and maintain effective management, planning, and cost control systems.Provide startup input to the master schedules, estimates and all updates. Maintain historical information.Identify and evaluate risk that may have an impact on the project implementation and takes appropriate mitigation activities. Coordinate all subcontractor and supplier start up activities with site startup managers.Assist site startup managers in Identifying and developing startup procedures and plans as required for the project.Assist site startup managers in implementing and maintaining an effective quality control process as related to commissioning activities.Determine startup staffing requirements in cooperation with management.Provide support and guidance for the personal and professional development of startup personnel.Along with site startup managers, responsible for training of Owner / Operator personnel, if required. Establish and maintain communications to ensure accurate and timely flow of information.Review performance requirements of all major equipment orders and major subcontractsParticipate in design reviews to coordinate startup requirements with design operations.Participate in front end design activities to define process system scope and boundaries.Develop the turnover plan including turnover books and documentation.Responsible to ensure all required licenses for start up operations are obtained. Qualifications•10 years experience on power related projects.•Ability to implement and maintain an effective safety process as related to commissioning activities•Implement and maintain effective management, planning, and cost control systems.•Provide startup input to the master schedules, estimates and all updates.
