Purchasing Manager Sought - BUSY ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR

Purchasing Manager sought, experience in a purchasing role for a busy ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR required.

 

 

Responsibilities:
*Performs and oversees the daily activities of the purchasing function
* Reviews purchasing decisions, orders and vendor contracts
* Oversees the ordering of materials and supplies from vendors
* Interview vendors, agents and representatives to recommend regular and alternate sources
* Secure with Engineering assistance on sources of supply on new and existing materials, tools and service
*Purchasing and negotiating materials, equipment and supplies from vendors
*Evaluates vendors quotes and services to determine most desirable vendor



Requirements:

*10+ years experience in everyday purchasing, blanket purchasing and package buy-outs

* 5+ years purchasing experience for a busy electrical contracting operation.

* Strong Communication/Negotiation Skills

* Strong Organization/Coordination

* Strong Time Management Skills

* PC/Microsoft Proficiency including Word, Excel, Project Manager, Visio, PowerPoint, Outlook and purchasing software

* Experience with Maxwell systems purchasing software preferred

* Eligible to work for any employer in the U.S.

* Reliable Transportation / Solid Work & Attendance Record

* Minimum Education: H.S. Diploma, Bachelor’s degree preferred
