DescriptionAn opening is currently available for a Quality Control Manager who will work/manage in a team environment in our Hot Mix Asphalt Plant/Lab division for Virginia Paving Company. Responsible for performing quality control test for plant mix asphalt i.e.; moisture, extraction, ash correction, gradation, asphalt cement content, tensile strength ratios, and rice test. Responsible for and able to design asphalt mixes. Remain updated on new research or techniques that will result in a more efficient or cost effective solution. Assure company complies with specifications by any State, FAA, or other contracting agency or owner. Have knowledge of and comply with all safety policies in field operations, plants and laboratory. Additional responsibilities may include working with and assisting field personnel, working with State Inspectors, trouble shooting mixes on Job site and in the Lab, and any other duties necessary to achieve successful project completionsRequired SkillsThe right candidate will be a self motivated, energetic individual with Quality Control experience and VDOT Certification. Previous Supervisory experience.
