This position reports directly to the Plant Manager and will be responsible for the crushing/processing plant and the mining/open-pit area. Key Responsibilities and Objectives:• Coordinating the workforce;• Assisting in the performance of work relating to:o aggregate production;o stripping of overburden;o restocking material; and o equipment maintenance; • Work with plant manager to achieve increased plant production by XX%;• Assist Plant Manager with the balancing of production with sales;• Drive the Lehigh Hanson Safety and Environmental program.Minimum qualifications for this position include:• Five (5) years experience in the aggregate industry;• “Hands on” experience working in an open-pit mine;• Proven understanding of aggregate production;• Experience with welding and the maintenance of rock crushing equipment;• Working knowledge of safety procedures utilized in the crushed stone processes and must be familiar with MSHA safety regulations;• Must be familiar with environmental issues and compliance;• Ability to demonstrate clear and effective judgment in situations requiring independent, responsible decision-making;• Basic computer skills including Word and Excel.In Addition to the above, the ideal candidate will possess the following attributes:• A positive “Can Do” attitude;• Goal Oriented and Driven not satisfied with “Status Quo”.We offer a competitive salary, a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and life insurance as well as 401(k), a positive atmosphere, a drug-free workplace and potential for advancement.
