Rental Sales Representative (Power Systems)

 

Ransome CAT, local Caterpillar dealer and one of the largest family owned companies in the Philadelphia area, operates out of 13 convenient locations in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware. The products we represent are used in everything from road and building construction to providing electrical power. We are seeking a Salesperson to rent mobile gensets, air conditioners, chillers, compressors and other Power Systems Rental Division products in southeastern PA. Must have proven rental/sales experience; basic electrical and HVAC knowledge; strong communication and organizational skills.  Related college degree preferred.  Territory coverage area to include the following counties: Chester, Berks, Delaware, Lehigh and Northampton.  

 

A power systems rental representative is responsible for generating new business, maintaining existing business and surveying jobs for the rental of temporary power, temporary cooling and temporary air applications while maintaining a safe working environment. 

 

Responsibilities:

 

• Promote a team environment.

 

• Communicate effectively with supervisors and peers.

 

• Greet customers with a pleasant and professional response.

 

• Maintain a professional appearance at all times.   

 

Operational Functions:

 

• Generate revenue and profits for Ransome Engine while maintaining a safe working environment.

 

• Determine customer equipment requirements,  (customer job requirements)

 

• Quote and negotiate jobs pricing to customers..

 

• Coordinate delivery, pricing and equipment needs for customers with rental coordinator.

 

• Resolve customer problems

 

• Interact with other sales reps from other divisions  and share information.

 

• Complete monthly expense reports.

 

• Update quote file on a weekly basis.

 

• Review equipment status report daily.

 

• Attend bi-weekly sales meeting.

 

• Distinguish between decision makers and information gatherers to determine the purchasing process within an organization.

 

• Develop new accounts.

 

• Call on (make sales calls to) contractors, industrial customers and end users.

 

• Determine companies that require temporary power, temporary cooling or temporary air.

 

• Act as a liaison between the customer and company.

 

• Contact people within an organization through office visits, telephone, email or mail that are involved with the decision making process concerning the rental of temporary power, temporary cooling or temporary air.

 

• Persuade companies to contact Ransome Engine for the rental of temporary power, temporary cooling or temporary air.
