PurposeAs an assistant foreman, you’ll work with the roofing team to install replacement, coatings and new roofing projects. You’ll assists the foreman in maintaining paperwork systems associated with payroll, materials inventory, and estimation of required materials, OSHA safety regulations, and project organization.See Yourself: Setting up perimeter guardrail systems, fall protection, and access systems to insure compliance with OSHA regulations Organizing equipment and power tools as a member of an efficient team Off-loading deliveries and stage materials and equipment around the roof Tearing down and repair components of power tools and restoring the tool to a safe and effective condition Laying out and installing a complete roofing system, from project start-up through completion -- where to begin, how to measure off the perimeter zone, what details will be utilized at the walls and wall caps, what equipment should be raised and what should be flashed in place Maintaining a complete knowledge of technical details and requirements Managing the risks of roofing -- water drainage and weight, distribution of live load about the roof, night time and storm preparation tie-offs, and safety concerns of fellow roofers Leading the crew during an emergency response repair mission Supporting foreman in routine paperwork of the crew weekJob RequirementsMinimum Requirements: Ability to climb a 40-foot ladder Must be agile in the legs, arms, and back Three to five years of roofing experience Able to travel 100 percent of the work week Able to work a 10-hour crew workday in a variety of climates Excellent, up-beat attitude Highly collaborative and a model toward all members of a work crew Display emotional maturity and a dedication to safety and crew productivity Proven expertise with all tools and equipment Good mathematical skills, or equivalent rooftop experience, which indicates capability in estimating Valid drivers license Must reside and be authorized to work in the United States Solid command of both written and verbal EnglishDesired Requirements: Two years of prior experience as a single ply foreman for a roofing firm Valid CDL, class C drivers license Has attended a formal roofing OSHA training program within the prior three years Two years of professional experience in all aspects of thermoplastic roof installations BilingualSee The Rewards Eligible team members will receive one of the best earnings packages anywhere, including competitive pay, all-around insurance coverage, 401(k), flexible scheduling, training and development and many other perks and benefits.
