SR. CONTROLS DESIGN LEADER

COMPANY ·  One of the worlds largest privately owned engineering-construction firms with projects varying in size from $10M-$800M.·  The firm has been providing a wide range of industrial clients with engineering, construction and maintenance services for almost 40 years.·  Approximately 6,000 employees·  Provides services for the following industries:o Pulp & papero Petrochemicalo Chemicalo Powero General Manufacturing LOCATION Position will be in Birmingham, Alabama REPORTING Position reports to the Manager of Electrical Design OVERALL ROLE ·  Function as the process control design leader on major capital projects for the industrial power and power distribution market sectors.·  Work with client to develop project from concept thru authorization.·  Provides direction for integration of technical activities ·  Manage project scope, budget and design deliverables for the design process. KEY EXPERIENCE ·  Requires at least 15 years of solid process control design experience.·  Preferred candidates will have working knowledge of pneumatics, electronic, DCS, and PLC experience in addition to home office design time.·  Must have demonstrated experience leading design teams in execution of projects.·  Successful candidate must understand engineering design process and have experience managing design schedules, budgets, scope, and change KEY SKILLS ·  Self-starter with professionally aggressive attitude is a must·  Solid leadership skills to inspire, motivate and manage a staff·  Technically strong·  Good oral and verbal presentation skills·  Mentoring/coaching capabilities EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS ·  Requires BS in Electrical Engineering·  Professional engineer (PE) license is required. Submit resumes to: prothowe@bek.com For more information about BE&K, visit our website at www.bek.com.
