Pacific Coast Steel is one of the largest reinforcing steel subcontractors in the United Sates. We are headquartered in San Diego, California, where we are seeking a Safety Coordinator to work full-time in our corporate office.  An ideal candidate must have proven multi-tasking, computer and communication skills.  

 

Job Requirements:High School Diploma but BA degree preferred4+ years office and administrative experienceAdvanced computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PhotoshopAbility to quickly learn new computer programsExcellent verbal and written communicationStrong time management skillsBi-lingual in Spanish a plusSelf motivated and managed attitude requiring little supervision Forward thinking; always looking for the best solutions to challengesExcellent proven multi-tasking and time management skills Strong leadership and team building skillsProven professionalism with the ability to work in a high expectations team environment


Job Description:

Assist the Safety Director with daily administrative functions related to tracking and ensuring company safety policies and procedures are being upheld and followed company-wide. Some essential duties include:

o  Tracking data streams

o  Track and manage equipment inventory

o  Track and manage materials inventory

o  Manage Web Database

o  Monitor and track training systems

o  Research and establish new product vendors

o  Monitor accounting expense allocations

o  Write letters and bulletins from scratch

o  Respond to daily inquiries from the field

The Safety Administrator position is being offered starting at $19 per hour+ depending on experience and qualifications.
