Sales Project Manager
Ahern Fire Protection has an excellent opportunity for an experienced Sales Project Manager in our Chicago office located in Itasca, IL.
Responsibilities include meeting with the sales staff or the district manager on a regular basis to discuss current estimating backlog and due dates; seeking out competitive vendors and services to assure that Ahern Fire Protection is competitive in its bid; discussing design and bid strategy with sales staff or the district manager; performing preliminary design and calculations for the bid estimates; preparing pricing for materials, labor, freight, fabrication, and design for estimates; maintaining monthly estimate log; preparing scope and quotation letters for customers; participating in turnover meetings as required, sharing information as required, and assisting with any follow-up information with the customer as is requested; and assuming an active role in managing the projects in conjunction with the design manager and construction superintendent.
Candidates should have at least 3-5 years of experience in sales and project management in the fire protection industry; a familiarity of commercial, residential or industrial building construction; the ability to read blueprints; excellent communication, customer service and organizational skills; the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. NICET certification or a commitment to attain certification is required.
