Sales Rep/Project Manager
Sales Rep/Project Manager –Rigging/Machinery Moving/Storage
This position reports directly to the General Manager, is a key role in the company and is a primary interface with our customer base. The person in this position will be balancing expanding our Customer base, maintaining/servicing our current customers, and accurately handling the administrative responsibilities associated with such a position. The person in this role must be an excellent communicator, organized, professional in his/her dealings with others, and want to make a difference for themselves, as well as for the Company. This is a salaried position and could lead to Quarterly bonuses based on performance.
-Prior experience required to perform this role well would be as follows:
-A minimum of five years experience in the specialized moving and rigging industry.
-High School Diploma or equivalency required, bachelor’s degree preferred.
-Computer proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook a must.
-Sales/estimating experience preferred.
Sales Rep/Project Manager – Rigging/Machinery Moving/Storage
Responsibilities/Expectations: Represent Mariano Brothers Specialty Moving with credibility and integrity while acting as a customer advocate in the course of business interaction. Attend machinery trade-shows as assigned and acquire a minimum number of qualified sales leads per show as determined prior to show. Qualify and Cold-Call no fewer than 30 leads per day/150 per week. Provide Office Administrator with all contact information for qualified sales leads for entry into company database. Attend after-hours networking and community functions as assigned. Complete preparation of cost estimates and bids.? Secure purchase orders and correct billing procedures for A/R. Provide dispatcher with equipment, materials lists, addresses and contact information for the job at least one day prior to the start of job. Project development, planning, management to completion and follow-up for each project sold. Competent project cost tracking for all equipment, materials, labor, subcontractors and additional insurance requirements. Submittal of completed work-orders for billing no more than one week after completion of project. Nurture development of long-term relationships with new and existing customer base through regular sales calls throughout territory. Ability and willingness to work extended hours, including weekends during peak season. Ability and willingness to travel as necessary to effectively cover the defined sales territory with availability for extended overnight travel. Ability and willingness to communicate effectively and thoroughly with management, coworkers, vendors and customers. Willingness and ability to work additional hours to accommodate travel, project, and customer requirements.
